Hi, I’m Francisco, the person behind Ipiña Tax.
I’ve prepared tax returns every season since 2022, and I run my own practice as an IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA), helping families apply for ITINs. Most of my clients are self-employed: rideshare drivers, cleaners, contractors, and freelancers juggling 1099s.
Every year I see the same thing: people pay for tax software that doesn’t fit their situation, miss deductions they’re entitled to, or get surprised by self-employment tax. I started this site to fix that.
What you’ll find here
- Honest comparisons of tax software, bookkeeping apps, and business tools, tested from a tax preparer’s point of view.
- Plain-English guides for 1099 workers and small business owners.
- Guides for ITIN filers and immigrant families, a group most tax sites ignore.
